Job Summary:

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients by providing essential personal care services. We are seeking compassionate and experienced individuals to join our team In the Kokomo area and help us achieve our mission to meet and exceed the needs of every patient we serve.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with patient laundry when necessary
• Provide medication reminders
• Ensure patient safety
• Report significant changes in the patient's condition directly to their supervisor
• Prepare light meals and assist with patient feeding when required
• Monitor and record patient temperature
• Assist patients with ambulation
• Conduct range of motion exercises and other simple physical activities
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and adhere to care protocols
• Follow privacy policies and infection control guidelines
• Offer bathing assistance
• Perform light housekeeping
• Provide companion services, including letter-writing and reading

Requirements:
• Possess a valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance
• Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience
• Ability to read, follow written instructions, and document care provided
• Comply with training requirements as per State and Federal laws

Work Environment:

As a Personal Care Assistant with Altra Homecare of Kokomo, you will work in the comfort of your client's own home, providing essential care and support to help them maintain their independence and quality of life.
