Job Summary
We are looking for a Home Health Aid to join our team to work with one veteran for 11 hours/week in the Springfield, OH or Xenia, OH area. You will directly work with the veteran, following a one-on-one care plan in the veteran's home. You operate with a big heart, not only providing personalized and attentive care, but by building a genuine relationship with the veteran. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to creating a healthy environment that meets the patient's needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles
- Change bed linens, do laundry, light housekeeping, or assist with personal care if needed
- Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor
- Build a relationship with the veteran by engaging them in conversation
- Provide medication reminders, conduct blood pressure and/or sugar level checks, and assist with meal prep, if needed
Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited Home Health Aid program (CNA or HHA)
- High School Diploma or GED
- One-year prior professional experience
- Driver’s license required
- CPR certification required
