Visiting Angels Living Assistance is hiring experienced Caregivers to serve seniors in Pittsburgh and the surrounding communities.

We’re looking for caring professionals who understand the importance of reliability, patience, and treating every client with dignity and respect.

• $15–$17 per hour, based on experience
• $1,000 sign-on bonus for eligible employees
• +$2 per hour for weekend shifts
• Monthly, quarterly, and yearly performance bonuses

What You'll Do

As a Visiting Angels Caregiver, you’ll help seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Helping clients with mobility and walking
• Preparing meals and assisting with eating, as needed
• Providing medication reminders
• Assisting with light housekeeping, laundry, and shopping
• Accompanying clients to appointments and outings
• Supporting prescribed exercises and daily routines, as appropriate
• Observing and reporting changes in a client’s condition
• Following care plans and established health and safety procedures
• Responding appropriately to emergencies

What We're Looking For

Our ideal caregiver is compassionate, professional, dependable, and committed to providing quality care.

Qualifications:

• At least 18 years of age
• Minimum of one year of experience in healthcare, hospitality, caregiver, or a related setting
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance
• Reliable transportation for scheduled shifts
• Ability to work independently in a one-on-one care setting
• Strong communication and time-management skills
• Willingness to follow client care plans and health and safety standards
• Availability for varied shifts, including weekends and/or evenings, as needed
• High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant caregiver experience, as applicable to the position
• Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation

Experience with a Hoyer lift is may be required for specific client assignments where applicable.
